 Here’s what you’ll find at Canton Farmers Market’s debut

The Canton Farmers Market is set to make its 2023 debut this weekend.

The Canton Farmers Market is set to open its 2023 regular season on Sunday, May 14, at Preservation Park, located at 500 N. Ridge Road in Canton.

The market will be held rain or shine every Sunday, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., through Oct. 15, with the exceptions of June 18, July 4 and Sept. 5.

Market-goers will enjoy a unique shopping experience featuring a variety of local goods for sale, kids’ crafts and activities, live entertainment, special activities and more.

“The Canton Farmers Market staff and vendors are excited to be starting the 2023 regular market season this month, offering great local goods at our weekly Sunday markets, where there really is something for everyone,” said Canton Farmers Market Special Events Coordinator Octavian Borowicz.

‘Popular family destination’

“Our markets remain a popular family destination where folks can access plenty of great merchandise, fresh food, live music, and special activities.”

New and returning vendors this season include: Baubles by Barb, featuring jewelry, sun catchers, and clay pots; Betty’s Best Soap, featuring goat milk soaps, lotions, and goat meat; Bittersweet Bakehouse, featuring baked goods; Boblin Honey, featuring a variety of honey and bees wax; Celeste Morency, featuring ice box cookies, and chocolate bark; and Cheekoo, LLC., featuring leather wallets, and leather accessories.

Also displaying their products, among many others, are Christine’s Creations, featuring hand painted jewelry and pour painting; Cora + Co Handmade, featuring kids clothing and accessories; Don’t Worry Bead Happy, featuring beaded jewelry; Evermore Backyard Farm, LLC., featuring artisan bread, bread mixes, cookies, and dessert bread; Floral and Hive, featuring macrame plant holders, home décor, jewelry, house plants, and cut flowers; and Fowl Creek Farm, featuring cut flowers

Live music on tap Sunday

At the May 14 market, attendees can enjoy live music performed by local artists on the Bartlett-Travis House porch, as well as tasty lunch options from a featured food truck.

Visitors to this opening market can also stop by the Master Gardeners’ booth to learn tips and tricks to improve their vegetable or flower gardens.
